They seemed relatively cheap, guaranteed satisfaction, all the typical stuff, figured they'd be a good shot.

This is quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had with a company ever. And that's saying a lot.
We used VPSland's VPS solution so we could host our windows' customers domains. We had probably 10 customers on it as we were slowly porting them over from our old service. These were our 10 biggest and most important customers.
One day, our server goes down (again, as it wasn't the first time), so we file a trouble ticket (because contacting them by phone is simply not an option, no numbers on the site, and any number in their WHOIS just goes to an automated payment checking system).
They respond a few HOURS later with, "you've been shut down and will not be turned on unless you give us a full explanation as to why you're spamming, and allow us to do a clean reinstall of your system because you have violated our TOS"
I almost fell out of my chair.
As it turns out, ONE man had a bad dealing with one of our customers, so he subscribed to my customer's OPT IN mail newsletter, and then took the first e-mail he received on this opt-in list and submitted it to spamcop.
VPSland took this as it was US spamming (the only link it had to us was that it mentioned a site hosted on our servers, it wasn't mailed through any of our servers, and we know nothing of it). Instead of giving us 24h to clean up, to explain, or anything, they just shut us down. If you look at the spamcop listing, you'd notice it's abundantly clear our customer wasn't spamming (and we wouldn't stand for hosting spammers in the first place).
We had no repercussions, and our very important customers out in the cold. Now we're in talks with our lawyers to sue them, but we'd have much rather not have had it come to this.
THESE PEOPLE WILL SCREW YOU, STAY AWAY.

Their servers are unreliable, and when you ask about support, all you get are generic "it's your node's hardware, we're working on it" messages -- even when it occurs > 1 time and on different days.

The pricing actually seemed quite decent -- until I realised you get what you pay for.
