Spry was founded in 2002 and is a VPS hosting provider. Spry does not currently offer any other services besides VPS hosting to their customers. Spry is also a green web hosting provider. Spry purchases green energy credits that will produce 100% of the energy they use as wind energy to be replaced into the grid.

Spry features unmanaged VPS hosting with the capability to add cPanel VPS licensing. For the Spry unmanaged virtual private servers, they feature the OpenVZ platform. Spry is only a Linux VPS provider.

Spry currently offers three VPS plans to purchase. Each upgrade offers double the RAM, 500GB more bandwidth and 20GB more disk space. Prices range from $33/mo. - $100/mo. depending on the plan you choose.

Spry prices are found to be extremely competitive for unmanaged VPS hosting. If you need a managed VPS solution with cPanel/WHM, there is an additional fee of $7/mo that prices them slightly better than average.

Spry utilizes two data centers in the Boston, MA area. Combined, they occupy over 2400 square feet of space, comprised of over 800 Servers and half a Petabyte of storage. Each center is equipped with 24x7 security and N+1 power (both A/C and D/C), and has the same network architecture and equipment.

Spry currently does not offer live chat for customer support and their support pages are lacking the detail we normal see from other web hosts. Since Spry was recently purchased in June of 2010, they are still in transition. We're sure after a few months, the Spry technical support options will be improved.
