After browsing through a number of VPS host websites, I finally settled on KickAssVPS because:

After purchasing the package, I didn't receive any feedback or confirmation email for more than two days despite their website stating processing time of less than 24 hours. That's why I'm giving a low mark in the account setup rating.
However, after raising a support ticket, I immediately received an email from customer support. They apologized and setup my VPS straightaway.

Used the VPS for about 4 days, and stressed the system heavily installing software and running SharePoint, SQLServer etc.
The VPS performed well and without any issues.

Though they're priced a bit higher than hosts like vpsland, their reputation and reviews were a lot better.
For the higher price , I also got good service, so I would recommend staying away from cheaper, less reliable hosts.

As mentioned in Customer Support feedback, there was some delay in setting up my account. However subsequent support requests were timely.

I originally planned to run some custom SharePoint sites on my VPS, however the "Starter" package I was using was insufficient for this and upgrading to a bigger package wouldnt have been cost effective for me. So I had them terminate my account after 4 days of use.
