I run  a website on MMOFPS games and first person shooters- it took off one year and understandably, so did my desire for a more controllable website and bandwidth requirements. I needed my site to have videos- and shared hosting just wouldn't allow what I needed. Moving to VPS was the natural first step for me away from shared hosting. Unfortunately there are many things about VPS that I just don't understand. I went on a journey to find the "best host" for me and my site. I found LiquidWeb by searching testimonials from a trusted community (people I knew, and that weren't just saying it was good because they were affiliates). The price was right. There servers had the highest specs I could find when compared against other managed VPS solutions... so I went with them.

Account Setup Feedback

I didn't have to do a thing to set things up. I didn't even know how DNS and domain names worked when I started with LiquidWeb - I just told the customer support what I wanted and it was done.

Host Reliability

My VPS was down for a single minute in the last 3 years of being with LiquidWeb. it was not because of system failure - but because they were hooking me up with FREE server upgrades (speed and capacity)

Pricing Info

I went with LiquidWeb because of the pricing. A month after I purchased the basic package they upgraded my servers to new specs- specs being charged as second tier packages with other hosting providers for the same price. They have since doubled their RAM for me, and there storage size has gone up by 2.5 times the original size. I haven't paid an extra penny since.

Final Host Comments

LiquidWeb has done everything for me short of paying for all of my domain names. I've been with them 3 years and it's actually one of the few "life decisions" I've made that I will never regret!

From the moment I purchased the most BASIC package from LiquidWeb up until now, I have received support tantamount of a large corporation. I submitted a ticket saying I wanted my servers setup for my CMS. It was done in an hour. I wanted my site to run video scripts (FFMPEG etc..), also done in an hour. My site was hacked - the files found in less than 30 minutes. One day I was at my work and received an email from them letting me know about suspicious activity on my site - can you believe it? I was notified of active hacking on my site the moment it was happening. I couldn't be a happier customer. The customer support it EXACTLY WHY people choose managed solutions. From my experience, LiquidWeb is EXACTLY about customer support. When the time calls, these guys literally just do what I say, and do it quick. I almost feel like I should be paying more.
