iPower was founded in 2001 and is a well-known name in web hosting. Unfortunately, iPower, over the years, has not been able to make a good name for their brand due to many issues related to reliability, uptime, and good customer support.

iPower provides two virtual private server packages called 20GB VPS and 60 GB VPS indicating disk space on each plan. iPower is a Linux Plesk VPS hosting company. Currently there is no indication of how many domains you can host on their VPS account with Plesk. The Plesk license has different domain allowances so be sure to ask if you are considering iPower for your VPS provider.

iPower Plesk Linux VPS accounts start at $49 with a year pre-pay but we are judging on their 3-month plan since they do not offer a monthly VPS option. With their 3-month VPS Plesk plan, you will pay $59.95 a month for 128MB RAM, 20 GB disk space, and 1,000 GB transfer. The prices at iPower for their VPS are extremely high compared to other VPS hosts, and there is a chance they may be the highest priced VPS on VPS Host Reviews.

In our experience, 128MB RAM is not enough memory to support a Plesk Linux VPS with any non-static hosting. Therefore, in order to get adequate hosting with iPower, you'd have to go to their next and fastest plan they have, which is 512 MB RAM, which should be good enough for most busy forums, applications, and heavy website uses.

iPower, due to their pricing structure is not a popular VPS web host. Therefore, we have very few reviews on their VPS plans and had trouble finding non-shared reviews on iPower elsewhere. We are unable to determine reliability with such a limited available feedback pool.

iPower has been known to use customer support based outside of the US. Many customers of iPower have complained of problems understanding their customer support when called, and have problems getting clear answers o specific problems using iPower live chat.
