Here is what John had to say about EasyCGI and the overall experience with their Virtual Private Servers hosting service.

We have been hosting with EasyCGI for a few years now and are currently looking for a new provider because the overall hosting experience has become extremely aggravating--in part because they've stopped offering Windows VPS hosting solutions and seemed to have forgot to tell their customer support staff that they still have WinVPS customers.

Account Setup Feedback

When we originally had our server configured, setup was fast and simple, though I cannot state how this is now as they no longer provided Windows VPS.

Host Reliability

Other than the transition downtime, no complaints about reliability.

Pricing Info

Affordable and competitive pricing is one of the reasons we originally hosted with EasyCGI.

Final Host Comments

As I've mentioned, EasyCGI no longer offers Windows VPS hosting solutions, so this may be moot, but based on my experience with them, I can no longer recommend them as I once would and would advise anyone considering them to continue looking or test them on a monthly basis for 3-6 months prior to a long-term agreement.

Originally, customer support was fast and they seemed to actually care. Since a company transition a couple of years ago (where we suffered a week or two of complete down time), support in terms of both people and the tools provided has become abysmal.

Windows VPS support often requires the step of convincing them that you are a customer and that yes, they do have Windows VPS clients.
