cPanel Windows VPS is a new product still under Beta testing and is expected to be launched this year.  cPanel has always been a linux-based and FreeBSD-based comprehensive control panel tool used for web hosting. Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Internet Information Services 7 are great web servers with plenty of great features. Because of these innovations, cPanel is now in collaboration with Microsoft to have cPanel windows-based virtual private servers.


Virtual Private Servers

With virtual private servers, a physical server is subdivided virtually into several VPS software and each virtual account is in complete isolation from the other virtual accounts of the same physical server. The RAM, Disk space, CPU and Network throughput is subdivided equally for each of the virtual accounts and the price is subdivided as well. Thus, with virtual private servers you get the appearance, privacy and capabilities like that of having your own dedicated server. The cPanel Windows VPS will run on a windows-based machine. Windows-based VPS is already available but with other control panels such as Plesk.

The Future awaits the cPanel Windows Virtual Private Servers

They had recently re-staffed and thus, cPanel Server Suite will soon be ready for the public’s use.  The cPanel Windows VPS will be a start of a new era for the cPanel comprehensive control panel and would assure cPanel to still be the leading control panel for web-hosting.


cPanel Server Suite

cPanel server suite is developed on a native Windows technology. Flexibility is a priority and the cPanel server suite is built both for a stand-alone server and distributed server. In cPanel Server Suite’s active directory, the information of users and the privileges of resellers are stored safely and with its user based licensing, you only pay for the users that you need. Upgrading is easy with buying more licenses to your additional users. The Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft IIS7 will be released on spring of 2008 but before its release, test copies are available for free. cPanel Server Suite will be released and would be used on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 platform already. The cPanel Server Suite interface would be similar to that of its Linux-based counterpart. This is great as there’s no need to relearn how to operate the new cPanel Windows VPS. cPanel Linux-based is the most commonly used in the web-hosting community and there’s a great familiarity with the cPanel’s interface already. It will cut you the time to retrain yourself or your staff for the new interface.
